Meetings at Tamaki Business & Professional Women's Club |
Tamaki Business & Professional Women's Club have a dinner meeting and speaker every second Wednesday of each month at:
Waipuna Conference Centre
58 Waipuna Road
Mount Wellington
Auckland 1060
Time: 6.00pm
The current Meeting room is displayed on the electronic notice board at the Conference entrance.
The program is registration and networking at 6:00pm, dinner at 6:30pm and speaker at 7:30pm followed by questions and discussion. A short business meeting is then held, and you may stay or go as you wish. Topics vary from month to month but always relate to women's lives and issues. The evening finishes at about 9:00pm but sometimes some of us retire to the bar for a drink or coffee, and a chat/network before going home. The cost of the dinner is $35.00 for visitors, $27.00 for members; you buy your own drinks, and can pay the Treasurer, on the night.
We welcome visitors who may attend two or three times before making a decision about whether or not to join us. Once you are a member, there will be opportunites for professional development, discussion about women's issues, and working on projects, although your degree of participation is entirely up to you.

Pay Equity – Red Bag Day February
Red Bag Day, established in 1988, draws national and international attention to the wage disparity between women and men and women of colour. The red bag theme symbolizes how far women are "in the red" with their pay. The Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW) NZ are leading this awareness raising day for the Pay Equity Challenge Coalition.
